About six years ago, Brad Smith and his crew turned my tiny Dundee backyard into an urban oasis with a pot fountain, an ornamental tree, trellises to block the unsightly elements (trash cans, etc) and beautiful plantings. Last Spring, he completely redid the gardens I have struggled with for years, putting in plants that were appropriate in size and sunlight needs. He also created beautiful window boxes and container gardens. He is prompt, friendly, reasonably priced and one of the only contractors I have ever worked with that gave me exactly what I hoped for.
When you have a large scale project underway, sometimes everything needs to be accounted for. That’s why we even install steps for hilly yards and along with retaining walls. We have a variety of materials to choose from and I always go to great lengths to make sure your stone steps blend in with your existing environment.
Anything Can Be Incorporated Into A Professional Hardscape
Just like with our retaining walls, patios and walkways, we have many suppliers who specialize in a variety of colors, sizes and designs. During our consultations I’ll bring product catalogues so you can see what your choices are. Installing stone steps is a precise and difficult process. That’s why we measure to make sure they line up with existing walls, and the treads are at the right height and set back at the right length. Stone steps can also settle over time and that’s why we dig deep, compact base, lay the right kind of back fill and compact them until they’re sturdy.
Built With The Highest Standards
We take pride in the hardscapes we construct and that’s why I take so much into consideration. All of these projects are meant to last and be something I’m proud to put my company’s name on. If you’d like to know more about stone steps or talk about a large scale project, call me at (402)707-3218.
