Before filling the tank with fertilizer, pressure check the system with water to make sure there are no leaks. If there is a fissure, it will be discovered as soon as the pump is pressurized. The leak could be caused by a faulty hose or hose clamp. Water is a lot cheaper than fertilizer and is safer for hands, in case there is a leak.

While greasing the equipment, check nozzle mounts, row knives, and other parts to make sure that nothing has come loose.

BLU-JET Coulter Mounted Knives are highly adjustable and can be set to achieve varying degrees of depth. As the coulter blade wears, reposition the knife so the distance between the blade and knife remains consistent.

When operating the machine, make sure that the wings are in float to avoid damaging cylinders, linkages, and row unit components. That setting will allow the cylinder to move back and forth without any pressure against it.
