Congratulations to Renee Nixon, our 2013 Employee of the Year![/caption]The employee of the year is one of those key individuals who is a very valuable member of the team. This person has shown leadership, dedication, knowledge and organization throughout the year and her attention to detail has been crucial to accurate and timely work.

Always willing to step up to new challenges, these attributes shined once again throughout the Eagle implementation and the audited physical inventory.

When asked how ISO and Eagle affected her position, Renee said, “ISO and Eagle have both helped with some of our major inventory issues.  Because things are better organized and labeled, it is making finding parts [and processing] a lot easier and more efficient.  Because Eagle is more of a ‘live’ process, they are processing in real time, rather than when we can get to the paperwork.  Sometimes that was several days or even a couple of weeks, depending on the situation. I trained on [the process] and learned what I could, then had to make sure people learned the process themselves.  Getting people involved that could be the ‘go to’ in each department was key. Time and money are saved when they can get their answer from someone in their own department, in a timely fashion.  It hasn’t completely taken the load off, as far as paper work processing goes, but improvements are being made and fewer mistakes are being made.  I don’t think anyone expected it to make a difference over night or to solve all of our problems, but I see definite improvement!”
